Custom domains are available on Plus and above. You need a domain you already own, and access to its DNS settings at your registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, one.com and so on).
- In your dashboard, open the project and click Custom domain.
- Type the address you want to use, for example
portfolio.yourname.com. - At your registrar, add a DNS record:
Type Name Value CNAME portfolio(the part before your domain)proxy.droply.so - Back in Droply, click Connect domain. Droply sets up HTTPS for you; the window shows "HTTPS is live" when it's ready. DNS changes usually show up within minutes, sometimes up to a few hours.
If your domain uses Cloudflare, set this record to DNS only (grey cloud). That's the quickest way to get it verified.
Want to use the bare domain (yourname.com) rather than a subdomain? See Using a root domain.
